Flying the flags

This afternoon we met up to finalise a few things before our launch next weekend. While we met, we got busy making some flags to put up during the launch as we plan to do a street walk-through and this is a nice visual way to show which households are involved even if the owners are not there on the day.

Completed flags for our launch and street walk-through next weekend

The colourful fabric scraps were all donated to us by Holly, and the bamboo flag poles are thanks to Frano, an amazing local gardener who kindly gave them to us. The flag makers would like to thank the hospitable G’n’T mixer for coming to the rescue as it was a very hot afternoon… Oh and the kids for pinching lemons from the neighbour’s tree! Speaking of the neighbours, their kids liked our flags so much that they begged their parents to join in Kakariki St!

Flags and G'n'Ts. Job well done!
